ELIZABETH ARDEN EIGHT HOUR CREAM?
WHAT DOES IT ACTUALLY DO?|||Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream is famous for being highly moisturising. Initially, it was designed for horses leg joints- which shows just how moisturising it really is. They have all forms of it now..of course the traditional tubs of cream, but now also eight hour cream but in the form of a lip balm, which really is amazing stuff.|||It is good for moisturising the skin, great for chapped and cracked skin on feet, lips or extremely dry skin. A must have in the winter weather.|||It is just a really rich moisturizer, honestly it is not much different to Vaseline. I call it the rich man's vaseline!|||Very over priced and over rated. You pay for the name.|||just moisturises.

If you've tried "prevage" by elizabeth arden, did it actually give you glowing radiant skin?
A few years back my sister used it-I think it cost around $100, she ended up going to a dermatologist with an awful rash and it took awhile to get rid of it. Anyway it ended up costing another $200 or so to get rid of it. I can't believe they would still be selling it. I'm sure she wouldn't be the only one allergic to something in it. my friend gave me a bottle of skincare, i does not have the expiration date on box or product itself. How do i know it manufactured date. the black bar code: 85805 00026, product number 101N-000, and there is a light number which is on the box is 7PB. Can I know any thing from these number?|||I don't think there is an expiration date but i wouldn't recommend using it if it's over 2 years old

But EA makes products specifically for the area around your eyes. Lots of drugstore brands are good, too...like Olay Regenerist and Garnier. Have you tried something specifically for eye wrinkles?

Opinions on Elizabeth Arden - Sunflowers please?
I used to love this perfume years ago. I still think it smells nice if you don't overdo it as it's a strong perfume. My Mum bought me some for my birthday and when I wear it I get people asking what it is etc and they seem to like it.|||one of my favs!

As to your situation, this foundation is formulated for a different skin type then you most likely have, maybe you should go for another brand, like Clinque or something (if you have a choice). I love the Mineral makeups and totally swear by Everyday Minerals.
I left my prescriptions at my sister's house a week ago (I'm seeing her Thursday for other reasons and to get it back) and have been using SPF on my skin and its still pretty clear and I kinda attribute it to the MMU. I'm still going to start taking the prescriptions again, despite the expence, since my pores seem much larger without the retin-a. :( Good luck to you...|||It's not a matter of whether or not it's safe for you to use, at 13 you don't really need foundation unless you have severe acne. If you do, then you should talk to a dermatologist before you use any kind of makeup; they can point you in the direction of a product that will help without damaging the skin as many commercial products can do. If you're skin is naturally healthy (with the omission of a few little pimples), then you should leave off foundation and stick to basic makeup.... natural eyeshadow, some liner, and lip gloss. There's no point in covering your face at this stage of your life. Cultivate your character and the rest will take care of itself. Which one? The flawless finish works well but thats best for evenings because it can be quite heavy at first until it blends in well.

Skin simple products by Elizabeth Arden?
Has anyone used "skin simple" products before? I just brought the night time moisture cream and pore refining mask. Do these products work?|||Yes it good, i used all of her products before.

The compact comes with a little sponge.. but am not sure whether to apply it dry onto my face or to wet the sponge and then use it.. Please help.|||You use the sponge when it is dry. dab it into the foundation, and spread on the face. You only need a small amount with this foundation.
If you want flawless skin, always apply concealor on top of the foundation, and use face powder to lock it in.

I need help creating an Elizabeth Arden skincare regimen and have product questions.?
Short story: After a lot of testing on several foundations, I liked EA's Intervene SPF15 liquid foundation in shade no. 2. So since I like their makeup, I was shopping around on ebay and saw this amazing deal for full size Prevage products! I'm really tempted to buy them but I'm afraid they're meant for older women and might damage my skin.
And that's when it hit me. I suddenly realized that, wow I'm now a grown woman and I don't have a real skincare regimen. So I'd like to create one using their line of skincare. However, I noticed they have many lines of skincare for different needs and I can't tell which would be best for me.
I heard the Prevage under eye creme is amazing stuff and that is one of my main concerns.
And yet I also understand that Intervene's intent is to hit the "pause" button for skin and help prevent aging. I do like their makeup, but wouldn't this stuff be too powerful too soon? I'm only 22.
My real concerns are that I have uneven skin tone, (combination skin type) large pores, puffy dark circles under my eyes and just dull tired looking skin in general. Thankfully, I do not get that teenage high school acne anymore, at this point I just have some blackheads and occasional clogged pores. I do not drink nor do I smoke, however, I am guilty of drinking coffee on a daily basis and probably not enough water.
So, which one of these lines would be best for me? Also, what is the purpose behind all of these other lines of skincare? What are the differences between the Millennium, Visible Difference and Perpetual Moisture 24 skincare lines? All these brands just seem to be very basic skincare with different labels. Am I right in assuming that the Prevage and Ceramide both meant for older women handling heavy signs of aging?

Based on your post, I would recommend Intervene with Prevage Face and Eye.
The products are as follows:
1. Cleanser - Intervene 3-in-1 - This product will cleanse your face and also give a gentle exfoliation to help unclog pores, reduce blackheads, and reduce the appearance of pores. It's gentle enough to use twice a day... just don't use it directly on your eyes. (Use a separate eye makeup remover - Arden has one) This cleanser does not need a toner after it as it's already pH balanced and rinses clean.
2. Prevage Face Serum - Goes on clean skin UNDER your moisturizer. It's your treatment product. Prevage does address aging issues in the skin (reducing lines/wrinkles and age spots/discolorations) but what makes it so incredible for younger people is the protection it gives your skin. Help with Elizabeth Arden products....?
Here's my story...Lately,i have noticed my skin to be really rough.I used to have beautiful skin before. But its gone all rough now. Someone recommended the Elizabeth Arden range. They told me to use the intervenee 3 in 1 cleanser, the ceramide plump perfect gentle line smoothing exfoliator, and any of the moisture creams. It seems like a really expensive routiene. Is it worth it?Has anyone tried it? Also, im 21. So is this good for me? So my questions are....is it worth it?and is it good 4 me,considering my age?Any feedbacks would be greatly appreciated. I live in Italy but often shop online and in several UK beauty magazines Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant is described as a miraculous cream for skin. I'm not really sure about its efficacy, what do you think? Should I try it? Did it give you the results they promise?
Thank you in advance!|||8 Hour Cream is more of a balm, rather than a cream. It is herbally, it was originally used for Elizabeth Ardens horses, to soften their skin, she found it worked so good, that she released it.
It is used for any dry patches of skin, anywhere on the body, it isnt really for applying everywhere, but I find its good if i have dry skin in the winter to apply a thin layer before bed and let it sink in over night.
It's also good for spots, (brings down the redness) grazes, scratches, dry skin on the lips, slicking down eyebrows, highlighting the brow bone, cheek bones and shoulders. Also very good for cuticles and the nails.
For dry hands, there 8 hour hand cream is amazing, one of the best on the market.
The good thing is, a tube lasts for ages, years even. You only need to use a tiny amount!

I just bought me that cream afta hearin how wonderful the cream is. I hav supa sensitive skin which goes red and rashy after cleansing. I want to knw if this cream wil help to take away the occasional pimple on the chin and jawline and if it wil help to sooth my red rashy skin afta wash. How many time should u apply the cream. Can u apply it over ur entire face and before u apply foundation. Tips or advice anyone? No, not really. I've tried it. I spent a lot of money on quite a few different products. When I got home, my husband checked the ingredients labels. The expensive stuff had the same things in it that the cheap stuff did, plus the colors were the same.
I buy the less expensive brands all the time now. Wet N Wild,
Maybelline, Revlon, Max factor, etc.|||not in my opinion, no.|||Not necessarily, many low end cosmetics have the very same ingredients or better. It is merely a prestigious line of expensive snake oil. Home remedies are every bit as good also. Their fragrances are a different story, they are muchhhhh better than low end.|||No, it's just more expensive. I always buy the cheap stuff and yet my skin looks great, and is healthy and I have never found that I looked any better when wearing the expensive stuff vs. the cheap stuff. ive got to do an ad campaign for elizabeth arden and have no ideas but its got to communicate these 3 messages: the cult status of the 8 hour cream, the multi perpose, multi benefit aspect of the product, and appeal to a more hip younger generation. if you were to see an ad for this what would it look like?|||Shouldn't this have been posted in the Homework Section?|||Bright, informative, visually eye catching and not too busy.|||Focus on the bits it treats - so big pic of lips, big pic of eyebrows, big pic of soft hands, big pic of glossy lips. Research the product - know what people use it for, think of other things they could use it for, then just big images, as people will have to be stopped to look and informative text to run with it|||and how much do you pay for the idea?

I love Elizabeth Arden as it does give me great coverage most times and it comes in a great compact with sponge, mirror ect. Problem is though, I can't find a light enough shade! I have really pale skin and I'm using 'Gentle Beige 02' at the moment but its to dark. I was wondering if there are any lighter shades? I was looking on the 'Boots website' and there is 'Cameo and Vanilla' I know Ivory is a light shade but I don't know if they do that shade in Boots. I've heard M.A.C and Bare Minerals are suppose to be really good but I don't know where to buy them? I don't really want to order online. I want something where I can just pop to the shops to. I also know Elizabeth Arden tends to cake on and can rub off easily but I do love the stuff and would like to stick with it. Well, i use a L'oreal make-up, and i want to change too ''Flawless finish sponge-on cream make-up'' by elizabeth arden. Most product ranges have serums particularly for eyes so see if they do one of those as the skin around the eye is more delicate.

I just bought me that cream afta hearin how wonderful the cream is. I hav supa sensitive skin which goes red and rashy after cleansing. I want to knw if this cream wil help to take away the occasional pimple on the chin and jawline and if it wil help to sooth my red rashy skin afta wash. How many time should u apply the cream. Can u apply it over ur entire face and before u apply foundation. Tips or advice anyone? Thnx|||You can use it all over your face, but I think it'll be better as a night cream as its so thick. Just try a tiny bit on your jawline tonight before you go to bed to make sure you don't have some sort of reaction to it though if you get sensitive skin. I think its quite good - worth a go.|||I wouldn't put it on all over, just on the sore places and only at night. It is good stuff but it smells very strong and has the consistency of Vaseline and would make your face very shiny if you wore it as a moisturiser during the day.

I prefer pressed powder for the better coverage.|||If it's redness you need to cover, get some of that green base. I've got some - doesn't make you look green, just counterbalances any red. My Gran uses their foundation and she swears by it.|||its not bad but ive used better. just because its designer it doesnt always mean that its good. i use barry m :) it stays on all day unlike the elizabeth arden one which you have to retouch every now and again.
Estee Lauder Double Wear- Elizabeth Arden?
I currently use Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish in Toasty Beige but I'm finding it looks really greasy-maybe it's best as a winter foundation- and it needs lots of topping up to stay looking fresh.
I'm thinking of switching to Estee Lauder Double Wear,
Is it as good as people say?
What colour would be the equalivant to toasty beige?
Do I need a powder for over it and if so which one?

I have just bought Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Plump Perfect foundation, the lady at the counter talked me into buying the Good Morning Skin to wear underneath as it keeps your make up on, is this product any good? Has anyone ever used the foundation before, does it last?|||If you mean the foundation in the pot with the gold top, have used it and liked it. It felt nice and stayed on well. I opted not to buy the stuff to go underneath though, ponds dry skin cream worked just fine !|||I don't use it but i heared it's good just use it right. not too much.|||Its ok, about as good as any other I've tried. xx

(foundation, eyeshadow, eye liner). I used to be a freelance makeup artist and worked with Elizabeth Arden for a brief period of time. Personally, I didn't like EA's makeup. Sorry :-( Perhaps you will have a different experience. But it really depends on what you bought. For example, they are well known for their pancake foundation here in Texas because there are a lot of old school types that like that sort of stuff. I prefer sheer foundations. I also don't think their shadows and blushes are pigmented very well- they don't seem to blend as well as other types but more than that it just seems to take more shadow than other brands (such as M.A.C. and Stila). I have used their gloss and that is ok. I have never used Estee Lauder so I'm not sure about that. Again, just my opinion and I hope you are happy with your purchases!

thanks!|||when i worked in the cosmetic department store there wasn't a proper counter for elizabeth arden products, they had a limited cosmetic range... and a lot of skin care products..the elizabeth arden consultant from my store was hardly ever there.
However, most dept stores hve proper counters for clairns. they have a wide range of skin care and cosmetics i found that they interact with customers more. but i rarely see consultants apply make up for customers
Clinique is also a good choice for balanced skin and make up... same as estee lauder.
for mainly cosmetics i'd suggest revlon, dior or channel
once you become a consultant, they'd provide you with proper training in store and out of store, colour matching, basic applications etc i dont' think they give much training when it comes to skin care (i'm pretty sure you just learn on the go,) I was told to just read from the packet when i had to fill in for chanel, butthere were testers for you to play around with and get familiar with the texture, smell etc..

What do you use it for?|||I think it is fabulous, only thing for my chapped lips that works.The smell is unusual too but i've got used to it. Its a great all rounder.

What is the best make of foundation out of Elizabeth Arden, Clarins, Clinque, Estee Lauder?
I prefer the coverage of clinique foundation. It covers all of my blemishes easily and I love it for the winter. However as your skin colour changes as it gets sunnier it may not match your skin tone anymore. So I would suggest a foundation that matches your skin colour as it changes. But to answer your question to a T, I would say that Clinique is the best for me.|||Depends which one is right for your skin! I use Estee Lauders Double Wear during the winter months - love it, but have to change once I get any amount of tan - currently using a Clarins one. I also sometimes use a real cheapy tinted moisturiser which is great in the summer.

Have Elizabeth Arden changed the neck of the bottle and the packaging of Britney Spears Fantasy perfume ?
I bought a new bottle and the jewels on the neck are missing and the packaging seems... well cheaper. Did they change it or have I bought a fake ?|||I also have one that doesn't have the jewels on the neck. Calvin Klein Gel Eyeliner or Elizabeth Arden Gel Eyeliner?
Which one is better?
If i was to buy Calvin Klein Gel Eyeliner - a double ended applicator is included (fine and wide tip)
however if i was to buy Elizabeth arden Gel eyeliner - a normal brush is included
but i'm just wondering which gel eyeliner is better?|||I've never tried these 2 brands of gel eyeliner before so I can't actually feedback on theirs but I've used Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder and Maybelline gel eyeliners and could share my experience with you.
Bobbi Brown - smooth and easy to apply, long lasting and water resistant. I bought it in 2 bottles and 1 Ultra Fine Eyeliner Brush package promotion so quite worth it otherwise just the brush is $25 which is pricey.
Estee Lauder - long lasting but not so easy to define with the thick brush included so you may want to change another brush or unless you like smoky / the 60s look of makeup.
Maybelline - easy to apply but doesn't dry up quick enough and do smudge a little. Its long lasting and comes with a brush too. Its good quality for that price.
All are easy to remove with eye makeup remover.

Foundation can only be harmful to your skin if you do not remove it at night as it will clog your pores.

I got some Elizabeth Arden make up for Christmas but was later told that they test on animals. I've tried to find out for definate but with no sucess. BUT, their corporate website says nothing about cruelty free products anywhere so I think that is a red flag. I use elizabeth arden flawless finish sponge on i dont want to change what i use as i love it but as its quite sticky so i cant wear blusher and it gets in my hair and on other peoples clothes etc. any advice from people that use it to??|||use a translucent powder to set your foundation and makeup primer

Tips - How much should I tip my manicurist? It's not a spa or Elizabeth Arden type of salon?
I know the tip is usually 15-20%. But the service is different and location is in a shopping center. They do a great job on my nails. I'm asking because sometimes they answer their personal phone, and speak in their language (which is uncomfortable), or get up and walk to the back without excusing themselves. etc. Not great courtesy or manners. And sometimes that changes the tip I was planning on giving. Any tips? (LOL!)|||I tip according to the 15-20 percent rule, but tend to tip a little more if the experience and the quality of the service is better than I expected.

Use your own judgment. Don't decide your tip amount based on location but I would tip higher too if the person did more than one service for me and I was happy with the results.
That goes for airports, restaurants, taxis, any kind of service that requires a tip.

Has anyone used Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Cleanser?
The 3 in 1 cleanser/toner/exfoliant. Would it work on my combination oily skin which is also sensitive and acne prone? and where can i buy it in Australia|||Cleansers are washed off almost immediately which means that they generally dont' have a huge effect on your skin. For combination oily skins, gel and foaming cleansers work well, stay away from cream cleansers. It is suggested that people should spend more on toners or moisturizers/creams as they stay ont he face longer rather cleansers, which is used remove dirt from pores. As for exfoliants, make sure that you don't rub it too harshely into your skin as it could potentially damage your skin more than help it. Rub lightly and do many circulations for best results with an exfoliant.
Personally, i prefer clinique skin care to elizabeth arden's because of its results on me and the feedback that i have received from other people. However, i use a cetaphil cleanser, which is one of the best i've ever used and at a very good price too.

It says smudgeproof on the package but does that also mean waterproof as well?|||No. They do make a waterproof formula as well, but smudgeproof only means it stays once dry and won't rub off if you touch your eye. If you get your lashes wet, all bets are off.

I havent heard of tropical or lotus, I have only heard of the Scent Spray and the Intense Eau de Parfum Spray- which is a stronger form, but I would suggest the Scent Spray for a lighter scent.

Is 5th avenue by elizabeth arden a good perfume for a 20 yr old lady?
can you please rate it 1-10 as 10 be the best . i'll give it as a gift, from the gift shop they told me its a good perfume ,but i don't know anything about perfumes.|||To me it seems more suitable for women older than 40. I personally do not like it. If you want sth that smells young and fresh from Elizabeth Arden, then buy Green Tea (the original version not the summer edition or spicy), it is a green smell like the name is already saying and it is also not very expensive.|||That's an old one, in my opinion and pretty average.

Does elizabeth arden's prevage skin care really work on fine lines around the eyes?

Out of 16 wrinkle, anti aging products that were tested, no matter what price you paid - most expensive one being $96 - all failed to even noticeably reduce wrinkles and lines. A simple over the counter moisturizing cream that was also included in the tests was found to be just as effective as the products claiming to be anti aging, wrinkle reducing creams.
