Well, when you purchase gift certificates you can select the amount yourself -- usually at least $100 for Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa. Then, the person who receives the gift certificate can choose which service they want. The Red Door Spas are very luxurious, it would be a nice gift, but anything under $100 won't go very far there.
Another option is to purchase a gift certificate through SpaFinder or SpaWish -- this way you can purchase a gift certificate, and the recipient can redeem it at any participating spa in their area. $100 to a less expensive spa could get more treatments for them.
